Join Our Team: Volunteer and Make a Difference Today!

Thank you for considering volunteering! We are so excited to meet you. 

While we have a few paid staff members, the majority of the care of the animals is done by volunteers.

Volunteer to Support Our Shelter Animals

Volunteers are welcome 7 days a week for a variety of tasks including: 

  • Cleaning animal enclosures
  • Walking dogs and socializing cats
  • Feeding the animals
  • Assisting visitors interested in adopting
  • Greeting visitors at the front desk
  • Receiving and sorting donations 

Volunteer Shifts: Join Us to Make a Difference

There are three volunteer shifts each day:

  • 9 to 10:30 AM
  • 11:30 am to 1 PM 
  • 3:30 to 5 PM 

Volunteers 17 and over are welcome anytime, Volunteers age 10-16 are welcome, with an adult, during the mid day shift only. 

We ask an experienced volunteer to sign up to lead the volunteers each shift.

Join Us: Volunteer Orientation and Sign-Up

To sign up to volunteer: 

  • Attend a volunteer orientation & sign the volunteer agreement 
  • Sign up for your shifts on the sign up genius link each week. These are emailed out to all active volunteers and posted in our volunteer Facebook group. 

The dates for the next volunteer orientation will be listed below once they are scheduled.
