The Humane Society of Walton County was formed in 2023 out of a clear need for more help for people and pets in Walton County. We are the only non-profit brick and mortar animal shelter in the county and we receive no funding from any county, state-wide, or national organizations. We take our responsibility to help the pets and people of Walton County seriously; our main objective is to partner with Walton County Animal Control to increase lifesaving there. If you've noticed a need for more help here too, we hope you'll join our movement to make Walton a no-kill county.
